18′ Mystery Boat
We just picked this up……..a 18′ framed boat. The seller really didn’t know what it was…..we’re thinking perhaps an early Sea Bird. Any ideas out there?

For Sale: 16′ Late 50’s Shepherd. “Scrounger”
Scrounger came to us from Montreal for a complete restoration. We corrected the framework, and planking. We completely rewired the boat and installed a brand new Evinrude ETEC 40 hp with a modern steering system. The upholstery was completed in our upholstery shop. The owner chose a dark stain that looks terrific under 8 coats of varnish! . This boat runs very well and is a real looker!
Gren-Ell
This beauty just arrived in Sept 2018. She’s in for a complete restoration. Major attention will be needed in her bilge, deck, and transom areas. Her cold molded topside construction makes for some sweet curves!
Calling All Gren-Ell Owners
by David McDonald, Manotick Chapter
For a number of years, I had been casually looking at ads for wooden boats. I worked in the forest industry, I live in a log house and I appreciate wood furniture. It only seemed natural that I have a wooden boat.
Sold: NEMESIS – 1940 33′ Chris Craft Sedan Cruiser
Nemesis came in with transom and cabin deterioration issues. We rebuilt her transom, corrected deteriorated woodwork on the cabin sides , faired and painted the hull, varnished her brightwork and polished her chrome. NEMESIS is a real looker and a genuine time capsule from the 1940s!
Look for NEMESIS to be available for nightly AIR B&B rentals on our new docks at tranquil Merrickville Marina.
Custom Steering Wheel
We have been commissioned to build a custom wood steering wheel to match the look and feel of the classic mahogany boat it will be installed in. We have full in house graphic design and fabrication capabilities.

“Gallina” is a 36′ Chris Craft wood cruiser that’s in for a complete bottom job. We’ll remove the old planks, inspect and correct the framework and keel, seal everything in a penetrating epoxy; then re-plank her.
Swim Platform Restoration
No job is too small to consider our services for. We do lots of swim platform reconstructions in the off season.

Review from World-Renowned Yacht
Designer, Steve Killing
“You should be proud of this project – it is much harder building a replica boat than starting with a clean sheet and you succeeded with a 10 out of 10 rating.”

Touch Wood is one of the boats we’ve completely rebuilt and regularly maintain. A couple of years after the restoration, the owner asked us to upgrade the original straight 6 engine to a more powerful V8. We rebuilt and installed a Chrysler 318. Hutchinson
This Hutchinson is in for chine, rib and plank repairs. These boats are built with a single ply hull, and are often prone to leaking. This boat was no exception. – we’ve removed the old caulking, sanded the bottom, sealed the planks with Smiths Clear Penetrating Epoxy, then 3M 5200 was applied between the planks. The planks were immediately soaked and covered. Once the 5200 cured, we trimmed the excess 5200, then primed and painted the bottom. We’ve also had the drive line corrected and balanced. and detailed the engine.
1926 Fitzgerald Lee 26′ Hardtop Launch
As we understand it, Fitzgerald Lee built about 65 boats in the mid to late 20’s from a shop in Clayton Ohio. This boat has been gutted from a never completed restoration from decades ago. Apparently the Fitzgerald Lee plans were acquired by Gar Wood, who in turn donated them forward. We are working on a portfolio to show her owner what she looked like new.
